I really liked Cee Smith’s Just This Once series, and I could not wait to read Everett. I read it, but I decided not to give rating, because there was a lot of page skipping for me. A few words of explanation.
This story has a fantastic start, a train ride is smoking hot, and in general has a very interesting idea for a plot. The mystery and tension was dragged to the limit. What killed my interest was too much internal dilemmas and self-examination of the heroine. At the same the hero, Everett was a man of few words. It took so much space that I felt like I did not know him at all and it was a little confusing.
But it has a very sexy scenes, some are OMG, something for those who like perversions. This has a BDSM play, and the type of dom/sub relationship with a lot of kink. Those scenes were really good and smoking hot.
Despite all this Cee Smith is the author worth watching. She has fresh ideas for the story, and is not afraid to write a very bold scenes. Let’s not be discouraged by my lack of rating. I definitely look forward to her next books.
